HOOK LINE AND SINGALONG
We had Hook line and Singalong on Friday to celebrate the end of NZ Music Month. Singing the song together has been a fabulous tradition we have had with Avondale Primary fro the last few years, and this was the last time we could share this as they are due to close at the end of the year. We had some spot prizes and a house sing-off as well as the massed renditions complete with students who had learnt to play the 2016 song "We are Aotearoa" on different instruments. Air house blew us away with their knowledge of the song, NZ sign language and yellow dress code. Water showed excellent creativity with their original clapping beat and great rhythm section. Earth house was the chosen favourite by the judges and took 1st prize with Air coming second and Avondale 3rd.
Judges: Charlotte Crone from Orange Studio
Dan Callahan from Aranui Library
Carl Everett from ChCh Boys High School
The full video will be online by June 9th, and you can click the image to see the CTV coverage of the event!
