Saturday March 10th Concerto Finals

Chisnallwood students, parents and staff are lucky to have been offered free tickets to the National Concerto Finals on March 10th, 7.30pm at the Aurora Centre, Burnside High.
You will get the chance to hear three amazing young soloists perform concertos with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. One of the contestants is Hilary Hayes, whom some of you may remember visited our orchestra last year and helped our violinists.
If you visit https://chisnallwoodmusic.wikispaces.com/Orchestra you can read about the soloists, read about how to attend this kind of concert, listen to a sample of the music and also sign up for tickets. You need to apply for tickets by March 5th. And all audience members get the chance to take part in the audience vote.

Dance lessons will be advertised soon.

Festival of Flowers

Well done to the Ukulele Band for their performance on Feb 17 at Hagley Park as part of the Opening of the ChCh Festival of Flowers. Great to see so many new players from Chisnallwood! It was great to be combined with other schools at this special event. There will be more photos uploaded to the music website soon!
