Congratulations to the Chisnallwood Jazz bands who performed last weekend at the 2011 CPIT Jazz School's JazzQuest:Matthew Howes was awarded best guitarist.
Ella Dunbar-Wilcox was awarded most promising composition for her song "Just Won't Do".
The Chisnallwood Big Band was awarded silver.
The Chisnallwood Combo was awarded gold and Best Combo!!!
Theses are incredible results considering all the other bands were from high schools. Well done to the students and thanks to all the people who came to support them.

This comes on the heels of the bands' success at the NZSM Jazz festival in Wellington where they won four awards competing with high school bands from around NZ:
